I have come to learn that there are two types of Panera Business. Franchise and Corporate.

I was at a Panera one day in Scarsdale, NY. I often get a Panera Card and use that to pay. I was accustomed to getting a receipt for my meal as well as a receipt for my card balance. Much to my surprise, when I asked for a receipt balance on the card I was told by the manager. “We don’t give receipts for the card balance”. I said, I usually get a receipt, to which he replied, “we are corporate, we don’t give receipts”.

Ok, so I need to see what the deal is with that. In this day and age, “we don’t give receipts because we are corporate” doesn’t make much sense. The technology is there, why not?

All of the computers at Panera Bread should be linked together if one can do it why not all the locations, shouldnt matter if they are corporate or not! This makes no sense.

I would be pretty upset as well if this happened to me. Hopefully this is resolved before they loose card holder business.
